Overview of Cassa Integrazione, Dismissals and Unemployment - July 2013
Authorized hours of CIG (Area of Milan), CIG Ordinary (Assolombarda companies) and Unemployment (Italy and other countries).
In the first seven months of 2013 the hours of Cassa Integrazione Guadagni remained in line with the amount of the same period in 2012, both in the Area of Milan (+1%) and in Italy (-1,7%).
In July 2013 the hours of CIG grew by 19% in the Area of Milan as compared with July 2012 and by 46% respect to June 2013: this increase was almost due to the new CIG in deroga funding.
In July 2013 relative to June 2013 the authorized hours of CIG Ordinaria of Assolombarda companies diminished by 26%, and they represented 16% of the total amount of CIGO in the Area of Milan.
The Italian unemployment rate went down to 12% in July from 12,1% in June 2013. The unemployment rate diminished also in Germany and, overseas, in the USA; on the contrary, the unemployment rate was static in France, in Spain and, overall, in the Euro Area.
