Overview of Cassa Integrazione, Dismissals and Unemployment - November 2013
Authorized hours of CIG (Area of Milan), CIG Ordinary (Assolombarda companies) and Unemployment (Italy and other countries).
In the first eleven months of 2013 the hours of Cassa Integrazione Guadagni diminished by 1% in Italy as compared with the same period in 2012. On the contrary, the authorized hours of CIG between January and November 2013 increased by 17% in the Area of Milan.
Focusing on the Area of Milan and on value of November 2013, the authorized hours of CIG were higher than on November 2012 (+21%): in particular the increase was due to CIG Ordinaria (+61%).
Concerning CIG Ordinaria of Assolombarda companies, in November 2013 the authorized hours decreased by 39% as compared to October 2013 and by 34% as compared to November 2012.
In October 2013, the Italian Unemployment rate was static at 12.5%, but it was still higher than the Euro Area average (12,1%). Overseas, the Unemployment rate grew to 7.3% in the USA.
